Quilter’s Heaven Class Policies

We want every student to have a fun, comfortable, and successful experience in our classroom. Please review the following policies before registering for a class.

Registration & Payment

•          Class registration is confirmed when payment is received.
•          Class fees are due at the time of registration unless otherwise noted.
•          Class sizes are limited, so please register early.
•          Class fees do not include supplies unless specifically stated in the class description.

Cancellations & Refunds

•          Student cancellations: A full refund or store credit will be given for cancellations made 7 days or more before the class.
•          Cancellations made less than 7 days before class will receive store credit, provided we are able to fill your spot.
•          No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations less than 24 hours before class or for no-shows.
•          If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another person with advance notice. Please contact the shop before the class.
•          If Quilter’s Heaven must cancel a class, students will receive a full refund or may transfer their registration to another class.

Class Minimums

•          Quilter’s Heaven reserves the right to cancel a class if the minimum number of students has not registered. Students will be notified as soon as possible and will receive a full refund or the opportunity to transfer their registration to another class.

Supplies & Preparation

•          Students are responsible for bringing the supplies listed on the class supply list.
•          Please read the supply list carefully and complete any required preparation before class.
•          If you have questions about supplies or preparation, please contact the shop before class.
•          Students are welcome to purchase class supplies at Quilter’s Heaven.

Sewing Machines & Equipment

•          Students should bring their own sewing machine and any required tools unless the class description states otherwise.
•          Please bring your machine in good working order and with the appropriate power cord, foot control, and accessories.
•          The instructor may not be able to troubleshoot major machine problems during class.

Class Start Time

•          Please arrive 10–15 minutes before class so you have time to set up your sewing machine and supplies.
•          Classes will begin promptly at the scheduled time.
•          If you arrive late, the instructor may not be able to repeat information already covered.

Classroom Courtesy

•          Please be respectful of the instructor and fellow students.
•          We encourage questions and sharing ideas, but please allow the instructor to keep the class moving.
•          Please keep personal conversations at a reasonable volume so everyone can hear the instruction.
•          To help keep the classroom comfortable for everyone, please refrain from wearing perfume or other strongly scented products.

Food & Beverages

•          Beverages with secure lids are welcome.
•          Please help us keep the classroom clean by cleaning up any food or spills immediately.

Class Projects

•          Class time is intended for the project or techniques described in the class listing.
•          Instructors will do their best to help each student, but individual project completion times will vary.
•          Some projects may not be completed during class, depending on the student's experience and the complexity of the project.

Photos & Social Media

•          Quilter’s Heaven may take photographs during classes for use on our website or social media.
•          Please let the instructor or shop know if you do not wish to be included in photographs.

Safety

•          Rotary cutters, irons, sewing machines, and other equipment must be used safely and appropriately.
•          Please follow instructor and classroom safety instructions.
•          Report any equipment problems or accidents to the instructor immediately.

Our Goal

•          Our goal is to provide a welcoming place where quilters and sewists can learn, ask questions, and enjoy their time creating.
